1:49Andrew: The last two days. Yeah. I was too sore. I did Sam O'Reilly was more physical than I normally am.

1:55Justin: Yeah.

1:56Andrew: What I did. Yeah. Because I was like. I don't know how how squats or planking translates to push ups at this point. So I wasn't doing one for one. I wasn't doing like. I was trying to think 5 seconds, 10 seconds for one, whatever. But yeah, I got to 1800 and. Cause that was it. By 1800 I was in so much pain.

2:18Andrew: And I also. I also my back hurts a lot lately because I'm old and I think that that kind of. I don't think it had anything to do with the push ups. I'm not blaming the push ups. It's just work. Stu. And I think that I was kind of like I. I can't aggravate this.

2:34Andrew: Yeah. At this stage. So 1800 I think is pretty good.

2:37Justin: It was pretty good. And Tim also did like a significant amount.

2:40Andrew: Yeah.

2:41Justin: I don't think he made it. He also hurt something.

2:46Justin: Who you don't know but did the push up challenge with us who is a friend of ours. He heard something but did all 2000.

4:01Justin: All right, let's get. So yeah. It's been two weeks. Let's get into some game recaps.

4:06Andrew: We're gonna rapid fire through this a little bit because it's a lot of games and some of them were a long time ago.

4:11Justin: Yeah. Six. Six games that we're gonna recap starting with Wednesday, February 25th. This was a Guelph game where we were in Guelph.

4:19Andrew: We were.

4:20Justin: And we won five to four.

4:22Andrew: Five to four.

4:23Justin: This was the game where we just continuously fell behind the whole game.

4:28Andrew: Even though the first period, the shots were absolutely dominated by the Kitchener Rangers, 18 to 6.

4:34Justin: That's a trend in all these games.

4:36Andrew: This was. Yeah, it's true, it's true.

4:37Justin: This is.

4:37Andrew: This. The Rangers are such a powerhouse team. I'm just. Before we get into the recap, I just quickly want to say that I feel like they won all but one of these games. And it was very similar shot AudPod It was very similar style of domination from the Rangers. And unfortunately I think they ran out of a little bit of gas at the. But before we get into that one. Guelph Storm five to four. It was a victory for the Rangers. Of course. Alexander Bilecki gets his ninth. I told you he was gonna get double digits. Here we go. We got one more, one more. Alexander Bilecki gets his ninth from Weston Cameron and Tanner Lam I like that little combination right there. Right, that's. That's three guys of that depth scoring that we talked about. Then of course, that was the end of the first period. It was one nothing. It was, it was a dominant period. But again, the Guelph Storm goalies this season have been standing on their heads against Kitchener, especially a Colin Ellsworth. This time it wasn't even Jovanoski. Zachary Jovanowski, who has had a couple of great games against the Kitchener Rangers this year. But yeah, he had a great game even the Aud was high scoring because Kitchener had that many shots. Yeah. Parker Snellgrove and Carter Stevens, they score before the 10 minute mark for Guelph. So halfway through the game, it's 2 to 1 for Guelph. Jack Pridham gets his the Aud that's gonna, we're gonna see a lot of in these recaps, Jack Pridham scoring. He's pushing for it. That's all I'm gonna say. He's pushing for it. Yeah, he's at 37 here. Keep in mind from Cameron Arquette and Christian Humphreys in the second, but 17 seconds later, Tyler Hopkins scores.

6:20Justin: I know.

6:21Andrew: And, and now it is three to two. That quickly, not to be outdone, about six minutes later, Dylan Edwards gets his 33rd. He's having an incredible year from Christian Humphreys again and Camero the captain. That would be the second period. So you're going into the third. It's high scoring.

6:40Justin: It's three, three.

6:41Andrew: Anything can happen. What happens right away, Tyler Hopkins again.

6:45Justin: I know.

6:45Andrew: Three minutes into the period, Tyler Hopkins gets his 23rd. They're up four to three. The Rangers, however, roar back. Four minutes later, Dylan Edwards gets another one, his 34th of the year. Christian Humphreys Jack Pridham on the assists on the power play. And then of course, Christian Humphreys with the game winner with about two minutes later.

7:08Clip: Two.

7:08Andrew: Yeah. Two minutes later in the game, Christian Humphreys scores, is 24th from Dylan Edwards. And that's your game winner five to four.

7:17Justin: I really just like, thank goodness he scored that goal with, like, more than five minutes left on the clock because it just seemed unfathomable that the Rangers couldn't win this game because.

7:31Andrew: Well, it was one of those where they kept kind of falling behind. I mean, I know. Well, they just has nothing to lose and. And they want to make the playoffs.

7:39Justin: They do.

7:39Andrew: Right. Well, you can tell that this is a team that have had three captains traded. They are taking it as a personal affront that they. Well, you can tell, right, like, they don't want to be pushed around and they're taking it as taking it personally that they want to make the playoffs and be an upset kind of team. So I think it's. It's. The Rangers need to tighten up a little bit defensively against these teams. Yeah, they really do. Like, yeah, you can come back and win these games, but they need to tighten up.

8:09Justin: Speaking of teams that need to tighten up. Friday, February 27th, the Steelheads came to Kitchener. Yeah. And we walloped them 8 to 2 in a win.

8:22Andrew: This was a tale of one period that seemed completely different than the other two periods.

8:29Justin: One of these things is not like the other.

8:30Andrew: Yeah. So Brampton outshot Kitchener 14 to 5 in this first period, which is kind of the polar opposite of most of these games.

8:37Justin: Yeah.

8:38Andrew: And they had the only goal. Former Ranger Justin Botno scored his 10th of the year from Kieran Witkowski and Peter Green on the power play.

8:47Justin: Great initials jb.

8:49Andrew: Jb. Shout out to Justin Botineau, who's a great Ranger.

8:53Clip: He.

8:54Andrew: That would be it, basically, for Brampton. Yes. They'll get one later on, but that would basically be it because the Rangers are going to score eight unanswered here.

9:02Justin: Okay.

9:02Andrew: And I'm just going to rip through. I'm not going to worry about the times or the periods, but one. 1. Dylan Edwards, 35th from Jack Pridham and Cameron Reid on the power play. This is all in the second period. Luca Romano gets his 13th from Cameron Reid Great to see Luca Romano back

9:17Justin: and such a beautiful goal.

9:19Andrew: Beautiful goal.

9:20Justin: This was his first game back, right?

9:21Andrew: This was his first game back. Always a surprise because the injuries are such a secret in the ohl. Yeah, it was really nice to see him back and for him to immediately get involved. And this was a beautiful goal.

9:31Justin: He looked like vintage Luca Romano.

9:33Andrew: Really? Truly. Yes. And I feel like we did speculate while we were at the game that maybe he was playing a little bit banged up, maybe for this. Maybe we have no idea.

9:43Justin: Yeah, it seemed like he was more healthy anyways. We're Rapid firing. And I'm not helping.

9:47Andrew: Yeah. No. Dylan Edwards gets his 36 from Jack Freedom and Jared Woolley. That's the game winner right there. And then Christian Humphreys adds one, his 25th from Cameron Reid And Dylan Edwards on the Power Play insurance goal sponsor still available. Yeah. Patented insurance. Tanner Lam gets his 17th. Tanner Lam has 17 goals.

10:06Justin: I know. It felt like the Tanner Lam revenge tour took an extended holiday break, but it is back in full force.

10:13Andrew: He has 17 goals.

10:13Justin: Yeah.

10:14Andrew: Yeah. Haeden Ellis, Cameron Arquette. That's the. That's a little bit of The Smurfline. Smurfline 2.0, maybe. Never understood that, but cool. They're small. And by small, I mean totally above average humans.

10:30Justin: Small for hockey players. Yeah. I'm like.

10:33Andrew: Then you see them off the ice and you're like, oh, you guys are like my height.

10:36Justin: I'm. I'm small.

10:37Andrew: I'm small. No, I'm not. I'm bigger than most people I run into.

10:41Justin: Okay.

10:42Andrew: Anyway, they are not small. They are giants when they connect on a goal like that. Jared Woolley scores his 12th of the year, and that one came from Avery Anas and Matt Anovsky. Avery Anus has been playing extremely well.

10:58Justin: Oh, yeah. So good.

10:59Andrew: Really, really well. And it was nice to see the guy they call Wolf, which I thought was. This is kind of funny that Matt. Matt Anowski ended up with a D partner named Wolf. You got. You've got the wolf and the werewolf on. On the D. And that is the end of the second period. And it is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 to 1. There you go. 6 to 1 going into the third period. Haeden Ellis, though, right? The Smurf line, 2.0. Gets another one from Cameron Arquette and Tanner Lam on the power play. It was nice to see the second unit kind of starting to go Ham there.

11:35Justin: Click there.

11:36Andrew: Yeah. That was 43 seconds into the third. And this is when all hell breaks loose this game. Okay. Because. Because the refs did not do anything to help themselves. They. They did put Brampton on the penalty. Or on. Yeah. On the penalty kill. They did put Brampton on the penalty kill going into this period. And I feel like they had to because there was some stuff going on.

12:04Justin: Yes.

12:04Andrew: But after this, they decided, oh, no. Seven to one.

12:07Justin: Now that's.

12:07Andrew: That's too many whistles.

12:08Justin: Go away.

12:08Andrew: And. And literally a minute 38 into this period, it's now 8 to 1 with Andrew Vermeulen scoring his third of the year from Avery An. And Matthew Lechar like I said, Anus is playing extremely well.

12:20Justin: But.

12:21Andrew: Yeah. So this third period is absolutely a mess. This. We do not trash officials. We have.

12:28Justin: We.

12:28Andrew: Listen, we've had the. We've had the, like, refuse suck chant. We've done that. That's all stuff you do at the game.

12:33Justin: Yeah.

12:34Andrew: I'm saying on the pod. We don't come back to the pod and say these refs sucked. We do not say that these refs sucked.

12:41Justin: Yes.

12:42Andrew: This. This was a terrible. This was terrible. This was the worst officiated OHL game I have watched.

12:47Justin: It was hard to watch like we. And it was hard to.

12:50Andrew: Because they lost control of this game

12:52Justin: and you saw it immediately happen.

12:53Andrew: They lost control of this game. They didn't call a blindside hit. There was a. There was a hit on Pridham. Yeah, there was a.

13:00Justin: That should. There was a. There was a not awful hit. That should have been a penalty on. That got hit.

13:06Andrew: Yeah. Which resulted in humps dropping. Dropping the gloves and. And. And losing a fight. Yeah. Because you don't want Christian Humphreys fighting. You love to see him stand up there. You do not want him fighting Goons. No. Against Brampton, a team that. At 8 to 1. A team that was out of it in September. Yeah. That's when Brampton was out of it.

13:30Clip: Yeah.

13:30Andrew: Maybe even earlier than that because all those guys left. Martone and Ivankovic, they left. And that's when it was like, oh, Brampton season is over.

13:38Justin: Yeah.

13:39Andrew: So you've got these guys who shouldn't be fighting getting beat up by Goons who are losing eight to one. You've got. Now there was a. There was a hit on. On. On Campbell. Carson Campbell from Campbellford. He took a hit in the corner that was not clean. Yeah. And then got up and had a scrap. And again, it should have just been called. It looked like it was in the numbers. Now I'm up here. I didn't see the replay of the game. I watched it live, but I'm like up here. And he looked like he got crushed into the board. It looked like boarding.

14:13Justin: Well, as. As soon as Brampton got away with.

14:17Andrew: Started running around. They started running around. Yeah, they started running around. And it was a major issue because I thought that somebody was going to get severely injured. I mean, okay, bi had a fight early in the or halfway through the period. Yeah. One. And that was his. He was third man in, so he got game misconduct. There was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 fights in this period.

14:44Justin: Yes.

14:45Andrew: They completely lost control of this Game. You can't have seven fights in a PridMoney, I love the fights. I love the scraps. You one or two. More than enough.

14:54Justin: Yeah.

14:55Andrew: In an eight to two game to have seven fights in the period.

14:57Justin: This was insane.

14:58Andrew: You had. There were literally 12 Rangers left. The Dirty Dozen, they called them left at the end of this game. And there's an iconic photo which we will share right now. And I mean it was an incredible team bonding thing. But like, you know, you got Christian Humphreys fighting.

15:15Justin: Yeah.

15:16Andrew: You don't need that. He. He fought because he was out there and he had to. And there was. He looks over and he sees Pridham down looking like he's injured. You got it. You gotta, you gotta go right? And he doesn't go. He's not a type of guy that goes. There's lots of guys on the scene that go. Yeah, but he shouldn't have to do that. It should have been immediately the whistle should have been blown because it looked like Pridham was injured.

15:34Justin: Yeah, it did.

15:35Andrew: And on the ice it was just. It was just. It was just awful. You and I actually got up at one point and went and left and did an interview with our. Our friend Blake Dietrich. Cuz it. It was so long of the refs reviewing whatever doing, putting, you know, doing some sort of, you know, math with their little.

15:56Justin: It took forever.

15:56Andrew: It took forever.

15:57Justin: We did an interview in the amount of time.

16:00Andrew: Yeah.

16:00Justin: That the. That they were determining what happened. We didn't miss the end.

16:04Andrew: We didn't miss the end of the game. And, and, and we came back and there was another fight after that and it was like. And it was. Then they had more penalty math to do. It was nuts.

16:15Justin: It was brutal.

16:16Andrew: Yeah, it was. It was an embarrassment.

16:17Justin: All because they didn't call a bad hit earlier.

16:20Andrew: And, and it. Exactly. They got away with one and then they got away with a second one and the Aud was all. All bets were off.

16:25Justin: Yeah. Don't put the whistles away. If the other team is being dirty.

16:29Andrew: You can't put the whistles away. Eight to two and there's a. Yeah, exactly. They're running.

16:34Justin: If it's dirty, it's dirty. It's dirty.

16:37Justin: Speaking of it's dirty. It's dirty. London came to us great Sunday first London came to the Aud And this is where London bequeathed. I don't. I don't know if that's the right word. The division title to the Kitchener Rangers sure did Right.

16:57Andrew: Like breaks that little streak that they were so pompous about. It's over now. And we have your leader. We have your king.

17:06Justin: Although we didn't do anything bad. We just kept him. And he's really good on our.

However, London would actually get the scoring started in the second period with a shorthanded goal from Evan Van Gorp, which is one of my favorite.

17:34Justin: I almost broke my eyes. Eye rolling at that moment.

17:37Andrew: It's one of my favorite.

17:39Justin: It is really good.

17:42Andrew: And that's as much as they'd get. That was a minute into the second period. Then Luca Romano scores his 14th of the year from Christian Humphreys and Jack Pridham to knotted up at one. And then Matthew Lar gets his sixth of the year from Tanner Lam and Jared Woolley. And that's the game winner. You love to see. You got to see a Le Charizard game winner. I love it. I love it.

18:05Andrew: But I love that it happens.

Sam O'Reilly gets his 25th to start the scoring in this game from Cameron Arquette and Carson Campbell. Eight minutes in, it is tied up briefly. And then three minutes later, Jack Pridham gets his 38th of the year from Sam O'Reilly and Matthew Anonofsky. And that one was shorthanded. Jack Pridham and Sam O'Reilly Shorthanded is a big problem. Yeah, that's a big problem. That's going to be a big problem in the playoffs in a seven game series when people get tired and these guys jump over the boards to kill penalty. It's going to be a problem.

20:48Andrew: Okay, then Sam O'Reilly in the second period. Now we're into the second period. So it was two, one after one. Sam O'Reilly gets his 26th from Dylan Edwards and Cameron Arquette. Cameron Arquette very quietly racking up the points here. The. The heart and soul they said of. Of the Kitchener Rangers.

21:03Justin: And maybe a very funny person we are, we've been told.

21:06Andrew: So it's three to one and Beckham Edwards gets a shorthanded goal for the Sting. But Dylan Edwards, yes, scores his 37th of the year and reignites that two goal lead. Cameron Arquette again on the assist. And of course Sam O'Reilly And that's the game winner. And then Beckham Edwards, not to be outdone, Beckham Edwards gets his 18th pulls within one. But the third period pretty much all Rangers after that. Cameron Arquette had an unbelievable game. He scored his 14th from Carson Campbell and Sam O'Reilly as the patented insurance goal hold for sponsorship. Jack Freedom scored his the Aud Tanner Lam and Cameron Reid assisted on an empty netter.

21:50Justin: Yeah, that was a pretty good game for, for a few people on the team.

21:54Andrew: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

21:56Justin: Obviously Sam O'Reilly takes the cake. But is some. There was some support absolutely there. That's pretty good. Also the Edwards versus Edwards. Very fun.

22:05Andrew: Yes, exactly. The. The brothers Edwards and then we had to.

22:08Justin: the Soo I think they're north. They're the furthest north.

A bit of a team that kind of ran around on them a little bit last couple years. And I don't mean scoring wise. I just mean physically. They're, they're. They're a different kind of team. That's what they build themselves around. Is that that physical play. Jack Pridham gets the 40th goal. The long awaited. Not long awaited at all.

O'Reilly maybe I think I just spoiled my. That was the only scoring in the first period. Jack Freedom's goal. And it was no scoring in the second period. This was a tightly contested game. However, in the third period early on, Sam O'Reilly scores his 27th shorthanded. Yeah, right. Like. Like I said, it's just. He's just so dangerous. And then Jack Pridham gets his 41st into the empty. That assisted by Matthew Andonovski There was some stuff that happened in this game though. There was some rough stuff that happened.

23:41Justin: You may notice I haven't said anything because I didn't watch this game.

23:44Andrew: So Andrew, tell me so in the second period where there was no scoring, there was a Brady Martin interference on the goalie penalty that resulted in Matthew Andonovski mugging him. I don't know what else I could could say happened when I First, let me put in perspective. I first saw just the context with zero context. I just saw Matthew Anonofsky more or less attacking Brady Martin. And I thought in my head, oh, no, Ando has lost it. And I don't know why. He's like, you know, you don't know. And then when I saw the extended highlight, basically there's a scrum in the net, like in the crease, as there usually is. And then Brady Martin, who is a phenomenal hockey player and local boy, literally, literally flying. Literally. It's like something out of Chell. It's like when you run the goalie after the whistle in Chell, it's. There's no different. I'm referencing the. The hockey video game NHL. You. You like do wild stuff during whistles and stuff. This wasn't even during the whistle. This was just like he just beelines it into the crease like full bore. Makes contact with Kirsch, makes contact with Ando. And then Ando turns around and I think reacts accordingly. Yeah, I think he reacted completely. I thought it was. It was funny, his context. When I first saw it, I was like, oh, that's not good. Is he going to get suspended for attacking Brady Martin? Then I saw what it led. What led to that. I was like, no, I don't. I don't think they're going to. I don't think they're going to flag that.

25:18Justin: I don't think that.

25:20Andrew: So they both.

25:21Justin: I was a little worried that we had created a department of player safety only two weeks ago.

25:25Andrew: Yeah, absolutely. We did say that. I am a little bit worried about that.

25:30Justin: Yeah.

25:31Andrew: Apparently they are listening to us. So Brady Martin and Ando got roughing penalties. So it wasn't even a full on on fight. H. Seriously, this was the funniest thing about this is Brady Martin got a leaving the penalty box early.

25:46Justin: I saw that in the game in the boxing guard. I was like, what?

25:49Andrew: Yeah, like, when does that ever happen? When does that ever happen? And not only that, he came out of the box less than three minutes, like later. And he had a double miner. Yeah. So I don't know, he must have just thought it was done. There was a stoppage and he came out. I. Bizarre. It was. It was testy. But you know, Christian Kirsch having a stopping 25 for 25. You know, Carter George had a great game. Stopped 34 of 36. It was a goalie duel, but I felt like the superior skill was on display.

26:21Justin: Yeah. And there we were to the final game of this Six game stretch.

26:26Andrew: We don't have to do this one

26:28Justin: for only our fourth loss in 2026, but only our second regulation loss in 2026.

26:35Andrew: I know I was, I was talking to my, my dad today and he was just lost. Eh. And I was like, literally only the second time in regulations.

26:43Justin: Only the second game in 2026. They haven't gotten a point in the back half of the season.

26:48Andrew: Yeah, they had seven in a row. You know, you're due to lose one, especially to this team. This was their, this was their Stanley cup people. This was their. This was their whole season. This was the field of dreams moment for these guys.

27:01Justin: All the goals were there. What's his name and who's a.

27:05Andrew: Oh my goodness. It's the, the dream. Ethan Garden and Anthony Christoforo. And you know who wasn't there though? Kim Greentree. Liam Green Tree did not.

27:16Justin: The whole goal was to beat the Rangers.

27:19Andrew: And he didn't factor into. Well, he did into an empty netter. He assisted. He had, he had a secondary assist. He didn't.

27:26Justin: Do he even count those.

27:27Andrew: He did not. He did not factor into anything in this game. He's a very good player. I just, I just like to tease because he gave us such a good sound bite. Now the worst part is I want players to keep giving us sound bites, but here I am raking them over the coals. But I, I do love it. Props to Liam Green Tree for being transparent in interview with Sean Furfaro former friend of the POD and uh, current, uh, assistant to the regional producer.

So, yeah, anyway, let's just quickly get this one. And they, they scored first, but the Rangers responded. Kaden Harvey had a good game. He had a couple goals. He opened the scoring and then Cameron Reid got his of the year from Lechar and Anstice. This was a beautiful goal. Avry Anstis had a beautiful cross ice feed to Matthew Hlacar And then Hlacar read that Cameron Reid was bolting towards the net and gave him a perfect pass that he could just like redirect tip into the net. Like, it was just, it was just first of All Cameron Reid having that kind of offensive awareness. Unbelievable. And Avery Ansys, like, that's not an easy pass.

29:01Justin: Right.

29:02Andrew: You know what I mean? Like, and Anstas does, doesn't.

29:04Justin: He threads the needle.

29:05Andrew: He doesn't play a ton of minutes. So when you have like a chance like that on the rush, it'd be easy to excuse. Like, oh, it was a bit of a. Not like a grenade, but it was just like a little bit of like a. Okay. You know, at game speed. How often am I making this pass? Well, Anstice is just all over it. It was, it was beautiful. Goal. Yeah. Christopher in the second period opened the scoring. So it's 2 to 1. Jack Pridham 42. Jack JP 4, 2. Okay.

29:33Andrew: The countdown is on reverse.

29:35Andrew: It's going to be tough to get

29:40Andrew: in five games is not impossible. And I'll tell you, these boys are going to be feeding him.

29:46Andrew: So. But Jack doesn't care. He told us. Right. He just wants to win. Yep. Sam O'Reilly of course, and Cameron Reid on the power play, set him up for that one. And then, you know, Windsor, I hate to say it, but I agree with UC's assessment. Windsor just kind of wanted it more.

30:04Andrew: This was, like I said, this was like their, their Stanley cup, their Memorial Cup there. This was. They could not lose eight in a row to the Rangers. Yeah.

30:11Justin: Right. There you go.

30:12Andrew: And, and they didn't. They, you know, Garden, Ethan Garden had a couple goals and, and Kaden Harvey had a goal, another goal, a second goal in the game and it's a 52 final. It was closer than 5, 2. Two of those were empty netters, but it doesn't really matter. A loss is a loss. A loss is a loss.

30:30Andrew: I think that the ra look at that as the end of a long stretch and they need to play with more intensity against Windsor and they will beat Windsor.

30:40Justin: Yeah.

30:40Andrew: But if they kind of, you know, let Windsor push the pace, they will lose the Windsor.

30:44Justin: Yep. That's Windsor's good team.

30:45Andrew: It was a, It's a good reality check. Windsor's still a good team. Just because you ran the Aud of the building last couple times you played them. Yep. Doesn't mean it was like 7:2 last time. Right. So don't. Yeah. That's not who they are. They're a good team. You're a better Tommy Kut they're a good team.

32:00Andrew: All right. My second star is Sam O'Reilly Oh, yeah. So Sam O'Reilly with the career game, he's winning face like he's winning face offs all over the place. The turnovers. I wish I had advanced metrics. I guarantee that he is the most effective player on the ice. It's absurd. The plays he makes that don't result in goals as in like takeaways and just winning face offs and the possession time and chances created like it's crazy. I, as an Oilers fan who the Oilers drafted him, traded up to draft him a couple years ago and then traded him to Tampa for Ike Howard, who is a completely different hockey player and is right now in the ahl. I'm getting a little nervous that I'm looking at because what I see in Sam O'Reilly and this is a compliment, I see a bit of a game like Ryan Nugent Hopkins where he just plays everywhere and plays well and it's just, it's not, not. It's not that like, it's not like crazy like Kucheroff or McDavid or, you know, it's not like it's not like those types of guys. It's like, oh man, this guy is just like a force all over.

33:11Justin: Yeah. Yeah.

33:11Andrew: And he's SC now. He's scoring at like those crazy levels of those guys.

33:15Justin: Yeah.

33:15Andrew: But like it's more that his play away that I'm like, well, he's the most responsible guy we got. This is unbelievable.

33:21Justin: Really good.

33:21Andrew: And I think he's kind of loving that he's come to like the, you know, he, him being a knight probably thought, you know, the Rangers were the bad guys all this time.

33:28Justin: Right.

33:28Andrew: It's like, you know, if you're in the Empire, you don't realize the empire. Evil empires.

33:32Justin: Evil.

33:34Andrew: I kind of feel like he's kind of relishing like having like this like renaissance, this late OHL career. Renaissance of like I'm now like a scorer, leading scorer. Right. Because like, obviously in his early years there was such talent on the Knights that he wasn't relied on like that. So. Yeah, he's my second star.

33:52Justin: Yeah, that's good.

33:54Justin: Well, the Aud pointers.

34:33Andrew: I can mention it again. Dylan Edwards. Dylan Edwards, unbelievable hockey player. He flew under my radar. That's not anything to do with him. It has to do with me being just a terrible fan of hockey, of the ohl and, and I just didn't like the Otters so much that I just glazed over how good Dylan Edwards was in general. But Dylan Edwards has been like. It might be. Yes, of course. Sam O'Reilly and Will are these like. It's like those are like the crown jewels that, that Mike McKenzie and his time has brought in. But without Dylan Edwards, this team is not as good as what they are. And I think, like, it's just. And I know that's just kind of like an obvious thing to say, but I just need to. To emphasize how good of a hockey player Dylan Edwards is.

35:17Justin: He is so good.

35:18Andrew: He's so good.

35:19Justin: Yeah.

35:19Andrew: Yeah.

35:20Justin: Yes. I mean, I, I couldn't agree more. I love watching him play. The intensity is phenomenal. Phenomenal. That clip of him just celebrating, you know, he has so many goals. It's like great.

35:33Andrew: Yeah. And he's just such a good skater.

I know these, these games there, there's a little bit on the line still because the Rangers as of today, Tuesday, I don't even know what the date is. I've been on vacation. Tuesday, March 10th, we. The Rangers are three points behind Branford for second in the OHL. Like, yeah, the, the Rangers are doing okay. They've clinched their division. You know, the conference is still up for grabs. But is. Is that, that gap Is, is there. So it's.

36:16Andrew: Yeah, it's a five point gap right now between the Aud Flint.

36:19Justin: Yeah, I don't want to, I don't

36:20Andrew: want to say that, don't say it out loud, but the Rangers are up five points and it's the same played.

36:26Justin: And, and we play them in this up upcoming block. Well, that's a big swing the Soo then there, there. That's a four point game. Yeah. Okay, so if the playoff, if the playoff started today, the Rangers would be playing Saginaw as they are currently in eighth in the conference.

36:40Andrew: Yeah.

36:41Justin: And. But there's, there's only four points separating sixth from eighth.

36:46Andrew: Yes.

36:46Justin: So, so yes, if they started today, it would be Saginaw. It could easily as likely be Owen Sound, which we play in this upcoming block. And then the, the, the six team right now is Gwel, so they've got

37:00Andrew: a little bit of space. They got a little buffer but between second. But it could still be the Aud

37:04Justin: could easily be any of these three teams. And, and from the bottom side, it's, it's almost impossible at this point, but technically Sarnia could still make the playoffs and be the eighth seed. So they'd have to go on a heater. They'd have to win all the rest of their games and there would have to be some losses. So it's very unlikely. So. So in this upcoming block, we play Owen sound on Friday, March 13 day. Of course, you're listening to this. Sunday, March 15, we are in Guelph playing Guelph. And then Tuesday, March 17, we are at home playing the Firebirds for Fan appreciation night part one. Because March 20th is also fan Appreciation night. But yeah, it's like so Owen Sound very potential first round match matchup. Yes, Guelph potential first round matchup. If either of those teams were able to slay the dragon, they could be A second round matchup. True. And then of course, Flint is the team that we're fighting for top of the conference for. So, so they're, they're, you know, they're. If the Rangers can get past the first two rounds, Flint could be that third team, that third rounder.

38:17Andrew: So it very likely is going to be either Flint or Win Windsor.

38:21Justin: Yeah, exactly. So just knowing, knowing this, not giving up any of our weak spots to these teams, not letting the Soo not letting them get under our skin in any of these games. These are, these are important games for different reasons than the standings.

38:37Andrew: Oh, yeah, it is.

38:38Justin: You're right.

38:38Andrew: These are, these are. You don't want to. You don't want to, you know, phone in these games because these games are important. It's important to go into the playoffs on a win. Winning note.

38:48Justin: Yes.

38:49Andrew: You don't want to. The worst thing that you see, sometimes teams that have a great seasons, they'll have a bad stretch right at the end, they'll fall down like a couple spots in the standings and the Aud like the wheels are falling off. Yeah. The Rangers are beyond that. There's way too much winning culture going on with these, with these leaders, these veteran leaders. But you still. You want to have your backup playing these guys as if you have to win these games.

39:13Justin: Yeah, I agree. So it's, this is plus.

39:15Andrew: You want to, you want to finish first overall.

39:17Justin: You, you definitely want to finish first overall. For sure. Yeah. But you know, these teams are also the like and never forgetting the other side of it. All of these teams are fighting for something. Two of them are fighting for better position in, in our conference, and one of them is trying to literally beat us in the conference.

39:34Andrew: Exactly.

39:34Justin: For basically the league title like the, the regular.

39:37Andrew: The conference. Yeah.

39:38Justin: Do we have a President's trophy in. In the ohl? I don't know. But no, but the equivalent of it.

39:43Andrew: No, the conference title. Branford right now would be the President's trophy as of today. They're up three points on with that game in hand.

39:52Andrew: So. But yeah, it would first in the conference. You have, you have home ice the whole way through your side.
