3:24Justin: I think after the next rest day. I remember this because I did it last year. I did it by myself last year with my friend John, who's also doing it with us this year. The two of us did it. I remember hitting the second rest day and being just exhausted. And then the next day was easy, and then the next day was easy. And the Aud got hard again.

3:45Andrew: I'm pretty sure on the day where there was the hundred before the rest day, I think I tore all my abdominals.

3:53Justin: I didn't know. Abs are such a big part of this.

3:55Andrew: I know, I know.

3:56Justin: I literally, I don't have those.

3:58Andrew: I literally thought that it was going to mostly be my chest and arms.

4:01Justin: Yeah, it's the abs.

4:02Andrew: The abs are absolutely on fire at all times. In fact, I have to keep the water to me because if I do not at any point, I am dehydrated, my abs will spasm. That's where we're at.

4:15Justin: You need a. I mean, when you Camelback. Yeah, you need a camelback. When you start losing a little bit of, uh, the. Gaining the muscle, losing a little bit of the fat, you can replace it with a camelback.

5:14Justin: You were at the game. And then you're like, goalie controversy. And I was like, oh, no.

5:18Andrew: Well, yes and no. And the Aud the Aud wasn't so much. It wasn't so much even that. It was then the. The following game.

5:27Andrew: Where there was just a lot of goals and not a lot of shots.

5:31Justin: Yeah.

5:31Andrew: And that's when I was really like, I don't know. I don't. I don't think that there's a controversy.

5:37Justin: No.

5:38Andrew: And this is the thing. This is what I will Sam O'Reilly want everybody to perform well.

5:43Sam O'Reilly: Yeah.

5:43Andrew: We're not a podcast where we bring people down or. Or. Or even overly criticize players. There's been a. Where we've walked the line of saying things that we think need to be said about a player. I would love for Christian Kirsch to perform more like he played at the beginning of the year. Of course, because I'm a Rangers fan. I think right now we have to look at just the numbers which you've run. And here's what I'll say is to preface these numbers, Jason Schaubel is getting the quote unquote easier opponents.

6:18Justin: Yeah.

6:18Andrew: So give them the numbers.

6:22Justin: So we. We wanted to do the numbers from when we came back from the holiday break.

6:27Andrew: Yeah. Approximately December 20th, because.

6:29Justin: Yeah.

6:30Andrew: Especially because that gave Shovel more starts because Kirsch was in.

6:33Justin: He was still in the world, Junior. So. So there it gives them more similar games played. So Kershaw played nine games and Shovel has played seven. Kershaw's record is 7, 1 and 1, and Shabble is 5, 0 and 1.

6:50Andrew: Hold up. He's 7, 1 and 1.

6:52Justin: Yeah. Because the Rangers have. Haven't lost in regulation.

6:55Andrew: I know.

6:55Justin: In 2026.

6:57Andrew: I just wanted to emphasize that for all the people who are dragging anybody, either of these goalies.

7:03Justin: So there's been a lot of overtimes in these games.

7:06Andrew: You know, they all count the same.

7:07Justin: If you get dub, seven is still a win and five is still a win. And that's. That's 12 games that we won out of.

7:14Andrew: Yeah. So, okay, so Kirsch's record.

7:16Justin: Kirsch's record is 7:1 and 1 and sh record 5. 0 and 1.

7:20Andrew: Okay. Save percentage.

7:21Justin: Save percentage. Kirsch is.874.

7:24Andrew: Okay.

7:24Justin: Shabble, 889.

7:26Andrew: Okay. And goals against average.

7:28Justin: Kirsch, 2.75. Shabble 2.41.

7:33Andrew: Okay.

7:33Justin: No shutouts.

7:34Andrew: No shut. No shutouts. Yeah, that's okay. All right, so the line. It's not a huge difference. There's not a huge difference, especially if you factor in that Kirsch is playing the like, like I said, quote, unquote, premier matchups and Shovel is kind of getting the weaker opponent. Now, as far as, like, weaker opponent, I will say that in the ohl, there's so many talented offensive scorers, it's usually the back end and on the goal that I think teams lose games in the OHL not because they can't score enough, but because they give up too many. So what I will say from my perspective is I think the Rangers have been playing better in front of Shovel. I think that. I don't know. I don't know if that's a mental thing. I don't know if that's because they're playing better opponents against Kersh. I don't know because I don't have the advanced stats. But what I will say is I think that there is a case to be made that we should just alternate some starts here and just in. In. In the curiosity that Shabble gets a few more higher. You know, the five star opponent. I would like to see Shovel play against a juggernaut powerhouse team. I would like to see it. What. What does that look like? I don't want him to get lit up. You know, I don't think he will. But, but like, just like Kirsch. I know I've seen Shabble let in a few that he'd like to have back. Sure. But I haven't seen the same low shot totals translate into, you know, we're. We're basically talking about one game here that really has got people buzzing online saying that, you know, Kirsch needs to play better. Well, if you're 7 101, I don't think you really need to play better.

9:25Justin: We've seen a few times where, like, I can. I can see where people get turned because one tendency we've seen with Shovel is that that sort of like first or early shot goal going in, that's a little bit on the softer side.

9:39Andrew: Yeah.

9:39Justin: But I, I 100% agree with you. I think we should try. You know, I've seen, we've, we've seen in the NHL Boston Swayman and Al Mar had an amazing run, literally swapping every game, regardless of opponent. And I'd love to see the Rangers try that like this weekend coming up. We have three games in four days like this, to me seems like a perfect opportunity to. And they're all, none of them are easy games. We don't have an easy game this weekend.

10:08Andrew: No.

10:09Justin: So it would be great for us to see Shabble get a game. We're recording on Tuesday night. The London game is happening right now.

10:18Andrew: Yeah.

10:18Justin: I would love to see if Shauble was in that tonight. I actually didn't check the lineup to see who was playing.

10:23Andrew: There is one other argument here too. I'm looking at Shabble's game started after the world juniors were over. They're like. So he played on February 6th. Before that he played January 27th.

10:40Justin: Yeah.

10:40Andrew: That's a long, that's a stretch.

10:42Justin: You know, we only had one game in that span, I think.

10:44Andrew: But if you miss a game.

10:46Justin: Yeah.

10:46Andrew: If you're not playing that game. That's a long time, then. That's a long time. Right. So. And before that, okay, so three games, three days before he got a game. Because we had all those games. Right. But then before that it was two weeks from when he got in the creased play game. So there's also an argument to be made that you've kind of got a guy who's colder coming in and is performing a little bit better.

11:08Justin: Yeah. Stats wise.

11:10Andrew: Which is not the norm usually if you're cold, it's harder to, you know. So let's. I'm just going to quickly jump over and see.

11:19Justin: We did see Jason Schaubel play the bulk of games while Kirsch was away and he looked really strong. Yeah. Even in back to back situations. Yeah, I know that, I know that they threw one of the rooks in there to do the other. To do the other game. And Shabble just came back real sharp and he just looks like a guy that the more he plays, the better he looks. So I think 1A, 1B. I think let's just do equal starts for a period of time to try it.

11:52Andrew: Like I said, I would just like to. I, I would like to see them alternate regardless of the schedule. Yeah. All right. So Kirsch is playing tonight. Right now we're recording on Tuesday. So I just didn't want to go on this rant of give Shabal a Premier opponent like London. Yeah. And then he's getting it. And on Friday, people are going to be like they got another thing wrong. Right.

12:11Justin: Like, gives us something to talk about next week. Yeah.

12:15Andrew: So they did start Kirsch. I do think you have to kind of obviously, like, favor Kersh, but I would like to see Shovel get. I mean, Kirsch is not here next year. So you want. You and you want to believe that, basically. And I'm going to say it right flat out, from the beginning of the season to when the Ottawa 67's came in and scored a rough goal on Kirsch, I don't know if it's been the same kind of vibe in the net. Now. He played really well in the world juniors. Extremely well.

12:44Justin: Yeah. He's the only goalie that got a shutout in the world juniors.

12:48Andrew: So is it a Kitchener thing? Is it a mental thing?

12:51Justin: The eye test says they play better in front of Shauble. Like they. They defend him better.

12:55Andrew: It's definitely the eye test. The eye test definitely seems like they play tighter.

12:58Justin: Yeah.

12:59Andrew: That they. They kind of hang Kershaw to try more.

13:12Justin: So we have three games to recap, one of which. The first one. Oh, I just want to say the Kitchener Rangers, the organization, and I'm pretty sure it's Colin, because I know Colin.

13:23Andrew: Yeah.

13:24Justin: But the Kitchener Rangers do the. The best video recaps in the league by far. When you look at their. When you watch, theirs are always like seven minutes for the whole game. Everybody else's is two minutes. And it's just goals. I know the Kitchener Rangers, the recaps are always like, great plays. Even this week, I think they were listening because they even put in the goal that got called back. And I was like, they've never put that in. I think they're listening to the AudPod and they're doing great recap. So thank you, Colin. And the Kitchener Rangers communications team.

Okay, the first game we're Gonna recap, Wednesday, February 4th. That was one week ago for us. This was a 4, 3 overtime win against our fearsome foes, the London Knights.

14:24Andrew: That's true.

14:25Justin: Great game. First time back for Sam O'Reilly and Jared Woolley. Yeah, this was a curse start because I think we're going to track that this week.

14:34Andrew: We are. And yeah, Andrew, the scoring started 17 minutes into the first period when Tanner Lam got his 16th of the year from former night Jared Woolley and Haeden Ellis on the power play. Pretty awesome for the second unit power play to get one. I will say that I felt like the first unit was buzzing, but you need to have that depth scoring on your second unit and that's that. Like we were talking about having that lethal power play if you have a second unit that can score early. Well, like you said, you know, you can win the game that way. And believe it or not, they're going to beat the Knights here in London. And.

15:15Justin: And you know who is in the penalty box for that power play goal?

15:20Andrew: I do.

15:22Justin: Our dear old friend Jacob Zhu.

15:25Andrew: Jacob who? Anyway, moving on. I have nothing against him. It's just funny because we left him off the trade summary. So now it's a recurring joke that I don't know who he.

15:37Justin: Old SNL in here. Yeah.

15:38Andrew: In the second period. That was the only goal in the first period. In the second period, Yesi Nurmi tied it up. Yes. Ain't army. Yeah. And then. Holy golly, that only lasted exactly two minutes. I love when stuff like that happens. Exactly two minutes later, Sam O'Reilly gets his 18th from Jack Pridham and Dylan

16:03Andrew: And then I love this. Five exact minutes later.

16:07Andrew: 1942, Dylan Edwards scores his 27th from Sam O'Reilly Okay.

16:12Justin: That. This, this goal was a disgusting defensive play in the offensive zone by Sam O'Reilly Yeah, he just. He just robbed the defenseman of this puck. He's so good. And gave it to Edwards and got a disgusting goal.

16:26Andrew: Sam O'Reilly that's. That's kind of like the bread and butter, right? Is to just like pick the pocket and he's that kind of center. You need that kind of center. The Rangers needed that kind of center, and he is definitely that kind of center. He also has evolved, I think. I won't say evolved, but he's reaching his full potential offensively with the weapons around him. We're seeing that. That's the end of two periods. So it's three to one or. Yeah, it is. It's three to one. I'm feeling great about this game, feeling really good. And then the third period starts. Six minutes into it, Brody Cook scores. Okay, not a big deal. Not a big deal. It's going to be okay. It's going to be all literally 30 seconds later.

17:06Justin: Yeah.

17:06Andrew: Ryan Brown scores. Ties it up. And I was like, oh, yep. I mean, there was. There was something in the air with. With Woolly and O'Reilly back there. And I'm thinking, okay, are these guys gonna. Are the nights gonna be like, we're not losing to these guys coming back with kids, like. Because by all accounts, the Knights have little bit thrown in the towel. I don't mean the players, but the organization has kind of said this isn't the year. We had three years where we either went all the way and lost or won it. You know, I just understand where they are trading Woolley and O'Reilly.

17:42Justin: This is a London rebuild.

17:44Andrew: So, yeah, a London rebuild is like, we're still going to make playoffs, probably going to win a playoff series. You know what I mean?

17:49Justin: Like, top four in the conference.

17:51Andrew: London rebuild. London revealed. Makes me sick. You need to flounder in obscurity for a couple years. Okay, I'm getting heated.

18:00Justin: All right.

18:01Andrew: So it's. It's. It's now three to three with like, you know, the better part of the third period left to play. And I legitimately thought they were going to lose this game. Not because I don't believe in the Rangers, but because I just felt like it was going to be one of those games.

18:17Justin: In London.

18:18Andrew: Yeah, in London.

18:19Justin: Right.

18:19Andrew: This is such a difficult game to win. Especially the shots were so lopsided. It was. It was 36 to 23. Actually 35 to 23 for Kitchener. And yet here we are going overtime and you got 12 more shots like. And you had chances. You had five power plays. You only scored on one. I mean, London scored on one of four. But I will say the crazy thing was London was winning, like every phase off. I know, like, it was like I was driving me nuts. It wasn't converted to a lot of chances, but it was like Kitchener was spending so much time chasing the puck.

18:55Justin: Yeah, you burn time chasing. Yeah, you burn time. You burn energy. It's brutal.

18:59Andrew: Yeah. But overall, I thought Kitchener played a better game for sure. It just. It just crushed me that we were going to overtime with London. We, you know, secrets of the secrets of the industry. We. We have a group chat with former friend of the pod and current assistant to the regional producer Sean Furfaro And he said, the Hollywood ending ends with Sam O'Reilly scoring the overtime goal. And legitimately, 25 seconds, he scores On a beautiful little pass from Matthew Anovski, who sent him in again. Very underrated. Patience off the draw. And it just kind of set him up. And O'Reilly makes. Of course he was going to score this goal. As soon as I saw him going

19:43Justin: in, I was like, oh, yeah, there it is. There it is. Yeah. He scores his 19th of year. Because he had Sam O'Reilly can't remember who he had with him. He had somebody. Pridham or. I think it was Prim. I think it was Pridham.

19:52Justin: And it was like, he's not gonna pass that. Not this time. He knows how to beat Medvedev.

19:57Andrew: I was gonna Sam O'Reilly lot of times. A lot of times he's a pass first guy. Not.

20:02Andrew: Not that time. Nope. And he wins the game. And you could tell he loved winning that game. He let out a. A. A roar. That was.

20:11Justin: It was. It rivaled the roar that Dylan Edwards gave out when he scored his first goal with Kitchener. It was of that against the former team as well. So. Correct. Yes.

20:23Justin: Yeah, for sure. Okay. That was a great game. Glad that we won it. The next game was then Friday, February 6, at home at the Aud Was at this game. Andrew was at this game. Friday, February 6th, we won 6 to 2. This was a shoble start. And this was the game that flow hockey failed me.

20:46Andrew: And if you had. If you had cable, I'm guarantee you saw this.

20:49Justin: Yeah. Rogers was still up. It was just flow hockey.

20:59Andrew: And cables. Yeah. So this game started the way it usually starts for the Rangers when they are going to actually kick, you know what. And take names. They gave up the first goal. Didn't look very good in the first period. That's. No, I'm saying this is. This is kind of like the trend is like sometimes they got to give

21:20Andrew: And the Aud fine. And it's. They were thoroughly outplayed in the first period. Yep. Rowan top scored his second of the year about 13 minutes into the period that they outshot the Rangers 10 to 5 in.

21:33Justin: That was the only period I saw live. Well, it was great, actually. Me leaving was. Was the best thing that happened to the Rangers.

21:41Andrew: Maybe you were the problem because then literally two minutes into this, Jack R. Scored on beauty that was set up a beauty pass from Christian Humphreys and Cameron Reid Humphreys fed Pridham exactly where Pridham likes to set up in Pridham's office there. And he just hammered it home for his 32nd of the year. Dylan Edwards scored his 28th of the year in this period from Jared Woolley and Matthew Andonovski Nice to see those, those big boys on defense get a couple of assists there. And then Christian Humphreys got on the score sheet for the first time with his 17th of the year from Cameron Reid and Dylan Edwards. That was on the power play and that would be the game winning goal. However, they didn't need to stop there. The end of the period, it's three to one. I kind of again I turn and I looked at my, my friend who drove down the highway from Guelph to.

22:31Justin: Oh, he's a Guelph fan, isn't he your friend John?

22:33Andrew: He's a Guelph, yeah. He's born and. Born and raised in Guelph.

22:36Justin: Yeah. Poor guy. He knew what he was going to do.

22:39Andrew: He knew. He knew at the Aud He knew which two teams where they were going. One's going this way, one's going that way. He was amazed though that this could be a first playoff matchup.

22:51Andrew: of 10 teams make the playoffs. Yeah, the third started kind of iffy. I'm not going to try and say this young man's name. Yako Wisick. Yep, yep.

23:30Andrew: Not today. He scored his 18th nine minutes later from Dylan Edwards and Cameron Reid also on the power play. This is, this is becoming a trend for, for young Christian Humphreys I like that trend. He got the game winner and he got the insurance goal which I don't know what.

We're feeling good about it. Five minutes later, Christian Humphreys on the power play gets. Finishes his hat trick has the four point game. This one's assisted by Sam O'Reilly and Dylan Edwards and yeah, it was a total team effort. It was a complete domination. The first period was what it was. And after that they kicked into gear. This was a shovel game. He played extremely well.

24:31Andrew: And overall, like I said, you know, Kitchener won 48 to 26 of like the Face Offs. Right. So they were 3 for 8 on the power play. Christian Humphreys gets his first hat trick in the OHL after his point streak comes to an end in that last game.

24:50Justin: That was kind of crazy.

24:51Andrew: It was crazy.

24:52Justin: He came back.

24:52Andrew: He came back and exploded. So overall there's no notes. It was a fantastic game.

24:57Justin: Do you want to talk about the goal review that got called back? I mean, it's not. It wasn't a huge thing because they ended up winning 6, 2. So it wasn't like consequential of the game.

25:05Andrew: Yeah.

25:06Justin: I mean, Dylan Edwards called for a goal review.

25:08Andrew: He did.

25:09Justin: And I don't, I don't know what your take is on it because you were there. So watching, watching it back in the replays after or whatever. Yeah, I mean, it's the, Aud the, Aud the Calgary Flames 04 all over again, where the puck was in the glove. The glove went in the net. You couldn't see the puck.

25:27Andrew: This is the thing though, is this the thing though, is how do you know we, you know it was in the net. I know it was in the net. UC knows it was in the net. But the problem is, is there's a precedent set that, that usually doesn't get called as a goal.

25:38Justin: You can't see it.

25:39Andrew: Exactly. It's usually inconclusive.

25:41Justin: Yeah.

25:42Andrew: Now I have seen it where like a guy has it in his glove and he clearly falls into the net.

25:47Justin: Like the whole glove.

25:47Andrew: Yeah, exactly. Like, like his upper body is in the net and they'll call it a goal. But like if it's on the line. Yeah. And the glove is there and it's any anyhow, like impeded like by either the post or the line or the glove or whatever. They just don't call it a goal. So like, it. It is like, does it.

26:04Andrew: We all like. I turned and looked at John and John was like, I know it's a goal. You know it's a goal, but that's just not how they call it.

26:10Justin: No. And, and I, I get, I get why people are upset. I'm glad it was like I Sam O'Reilly glad it wasn't a consequential like I'm glad it wasn't like we ended up in overtime and a point was got because of. We don't know. But yeah.

26:22Andrew: It is what it is. It is what it is to know that that's how they call that.

26:25Justin: At least it's consistent. Yeah.

26:28Justin: And then the very next day we head down the road to Niagara to play an away game where we had our first regulation loss of 2026 against the Niagara Ice Dogs. February 7th. February 7th. Pretty good. Sixteen games or something into the. Into the year.

26:49Andrew: We're doing pretty good.

26:50Justin: 4 to 3 loss. So not even a. Not a blowout in any way. Maybe not their best game, but definitely

26:56Andrew: not their best game.

26:57Justin: Yeah.

26:57Andrew: And this is pretty much the only reason I think anyone is talking about goalie issues. I think Kitchener. Yeah. This was probably the worst game that Kirsch has had statistically.

27:07Justin: Yeah.

27:09Andrew: And it was, you know, he gave up 4 on 17 shots. This is not a great team that they're playing against. This was a team that was highly motivated to beat the Rangers. We'll get to that in the scoring summary. The again, this is how they start sometimes against bad teams. 1 minute and 10 seconds into the game, Niagara scores. Okay. This is. It doesn't. This is where I will push back on the Kirsch criticizers. It's same thing happened to Shovel.

27:38Justin: Okay.

27:39Andrew: Early in the game. The Rangers are prone to giving up the first goal.

27:43Justin: Usually that leads to good things for the Rangers. Exactly.

27:46Andrew: Usually there's a pushback. So. And there was just about two minutes later, Jack Pridham gets his 33rd of the year. Yeah. The chase is on. The chase is on. Dylan Edwards set that one up on the power play. And then they get another power play goal from Jack Pridham 13 minutes into the period for his 34th of the year from Christian Humphreys and Cameron Reid The first period concludes on that back breaking last minute goal with one minute. Well, 45 seconds left in the period, Niagara ties it up. You hate to see it.

28:19Justin: Andrew least favorite.

28:20Andrew: I hate to see it. It's like the. The mo. The worst kind of momentum.

28:23Justin: Yeah.

28:24Andrew: You go into the break, but hey, sometimes I'm wrong. Dylan. Dylan Edwards scores his 29th three minutes into the second. So I was kind of like, okay, nevermind. Dylan Edwards set up by Cameron Reid and Christian Humphreys who's been on a tear on the power play. The power play?

28:40Justin: Yeah. Remember when we were worried about it?

28:46Andrew: However, eight minutes later, Riley Patterson scores. 28. He has 28. Riley Patterson, great player. And so now we're sitting at 33 and pretty much nothing happens. That's halfway through the game. Nothing happens. It was low event hockey. The Rangers had some chances. Don't get me wrong, they had some chances, especially at even strength. But they even had a power play late in the second period. But it kills momentum when you have to break the power play and go into the break like it's such a bummer sometimes.

29:25Justin: There is an NHL stat about it is the worst. If you, if you have a power play to start the third pier or to start a period is. Is the least effective power play that

29:38Andrew: you don't score in that remaining time before on a power play, it's like you can't get anything going. No. And they didn't. And unfortunately in the third period, they only took penalties. Dylan Edwards got a penalty. 48 seconds, like right away into the third period. A high sticking. And then, hate to say it, Jack Riddham got a penalty late. That led really late. That led to the. Aud listen, it sucked because it was. It was pretty soft. It wasn't it? But it was high stick. It's a high stick. Still was high sticks. High stick. It just sucks when you're like, oh man. It was like, yeah, yeah, at least get your money's worth right? Like now. I am not saying kids do not high stick people. Do not do that. You gotta control, wear your bubbles. And brutally, painfully, heart wrenchingly. Jakub Chromiak, Hollywood Story. Hollywood Story launched a shot from the point on that power plane. It was tipped in by Hayden Reed and they win the game on that. And I didn't see people online saying like, oh, that's why you should have, you know, kept chromiac or anything like that. Oh, I did, but I didn't.

30:46Andrew: I stayed off of the comment section.

30:47Justin: So I saw that and I was

30:49Andrew: like, well, it's okay to not know Puck. This is the thing. This is the thing is there's also people who were criticizing Jack Freedom there.

30:56Justin: Yeah, he had two goals. He had two goals. Yeah, right. He has. He's on the chase for 50 guys. Like, let's, let's. That's the trajectory. We're.

31:06Andrew: Yeah, he's second. Second in the ohl in scoring. Like, let's just lay off some of these guys. Like I said, I think there's, you know, you, you can't give up four on 17. A couple of them were really soft. But that deflection goal. That's a deflection goal from the point. No, like, that's just. You can't stop that one. That you could perhaps by chance. But it's chance.

31:27Andrew: Right. Like there.

31:29Justin: There are sports where you can win every game in a season. Hockey is not one of them because the chance in hockey is astronomically higher than other sports.

31:39Andrew: It's also like, they play, what, 17 games in football. One team has done it and they lost in the Super Bowl.

31:44Justin: Yeah.

31:45Sam O'Reilly: Right.

31:45Andrew: And back when they played 14 games, one team did it, and that was in the Soo So, like, even game. Even sports where they play a handful of games, winning all the games is very hard.

31:55Justin: Very.

31:56Andrew: Yeah. Very unlikely. So you're going to lose some. It's February the Aud they lost one in regulation. First game.

32:04Andrew: Get a point. Exactly. And it was on the road and, you know, Chromiak had a little bit of that magic, let's be honest.

So Friday night is not at home at the Aud We are in Kingston. And then Saturday, February 14, we head to Ottawa. And then on Monday, February 16, which is family Day, which makes sense that there's a game I'm pretty sure we played in Peterborough last year on Family Day as well. I don't know why I remember that, but I do. And we're in Peterborough. So these. These three teams are all in the same division. They're in the East Division. Ottawa is in second place in the division, the Pizza in third, and Kingston is in fourth. Kingston and the Pete's are both 6, 4, 0 in their last 10. Like, winning. Winning record, winning streak, doing well. Kingston has 52 points. The Pizza of 61. Obviously, we know Ottawa is killing it there. They have 77 points. They're four points ahead of Kitchener unless. And they have a game in hand.

37:27Andrew: Yeah. So, you know, great.

37:29Justin: Ottawa is doing really well. They're nine and one in their last ten. They win games. We've seen all three of these teams in Kitchener already. Kingston, we lost two on Remembrance Day. Although we won the Jersey matchup.

37:42Andrew: Yeah.

37:43Justin: Ottawa, we. We lost two, five to three on November 21st. And Peterborough, we beat six to three on December 5th. Great day. And. Yeah, that's kind of. That's kind of. These teams. These teams we don't see very often.

37:57Andrew: Yeah. You know, Kingston is tricky. I think. I think that's probably a shovel game, I would think. I'm guessing because I'm assuming they're going to go with Kirsch against Ottawa because Ottawa is the, you know, the juggernaut.

38:10Justin: Yep.

38:11Andrew: And I'm going to be honest, I'd love to see Shovel again on the Monday against Peterborough. I don't know if they will do that but he's, you know, Kirsch is playing right now against London.

38:22Justin: I think you have to do. You have to split them on the back to back for sure. So.

38:26Andrew: Yeah, by the way, it's still scoreless so we have nothing to report on.

42:03Andrew: And then stopped it at 32. Because we just couldn't.

42:30Justin: Correct. And, you know, also, it just became. And what we learned going into sort of the Final Four was that it became a popularity contest for NHL stats. And what we really wanted was great Rangers. And that's what this is going to become to.

42:46Justin: Yeah. Because. Because it is going to be biased by their NHL careers. It's not. You're not going to look at the greatest chl. It's only those stats.

42:55Andrew: Yeah.

42:56Justin: Right. You're going to be like, this player went on to be a great player. It's a great player now.

43:00Justin: And that's who's going to win. And so chl, you know.

43:04Andrew: Well, you could have called us here. I will say, like, for argument's sake, like, like Taylor hall is not in the same breath as Mario Lemieux or.

43:13Andrew: Or even Connor McDavid or Sidney Crosby or whatever. But, like, Taylor hall was so dominant in the ohl.

43:21Andrew: So incredibly dominant in the Memorial Cup. Like, just like unbelievable CHL players like. But will not have a look in. In this competition.

43:30Justin: Well, even as a Ranger, like Mike Richards probably not going to make the top end. Yeah. Wasn't a 50. He wasn't even on the zone in the 50. And yeah, he had a unbelievable OHL career. Kitchener Rangers career.

43:44Andrew: Well, the Rangers NHL career during COVID did their own greatest Ranger.

43:48Justin: Yeah.

43:48Andrew: In 2020. And he won it.

43:50Justin: Yeah. Yeah.

43:52Justin: And. And the response for everybody, for us was that Mike Richards should have been a fine. Like a Final Two.

45:08Sam O'Reilly: Hey guys, it's Sean Furfaro and you asked me for a bit of odd history. So here you go. It's a little different for me because I came to this building pretty late. First time I was ever here because I was from Guelph. First time I was ever here was in 1986. And I didn't come for hockey, I actually came for wrestling. I was here in 1986 as a 13 year old watching WrestleMania 2. And you're like WrestleMania 2 wasn't in Kitchener. No, but at the time before pay per view they had closed circuit locations. So my only way to see WrestleMania as a kid from Guelph was to convince my mom to get me a ticket and drive me to kitchen where I got to watch it down on the ice. So I'll show you a bit here. So here's my vantage point. I'm at the back of the reds. This is kind of where the stadium ended at the time. The blues have been added since. So I'm looking down at the ice and on the ice level there's a four sided screen and I got to watch King Kong Bundy against Hulk Hogan. I got to watch the Randy Savage, Jake the Snake Roberts. Some great, great matches. But for me, I was a big British Bulldogs fan and I remember jumping out of my seat. 13 year old Sean lost his mind when the British Bulldogs won the tag team titles against Greg the Hammer Valentine and Brutus B. Cave. And I was pretty much sitting right in this exact seat. So wrestling is my first experience with the Aud and it's also my second. But I'm going to move to that seat and explain that for you. Okay, so now flash forward to 1992, January. I'm in my first year at University of Waterloo and some friends and I decide we're going to come to wrestling here at the Odds. So I'm over in section 8. I don't remember exactly where the seats were, but somewhere along here, here's the vantage point we had. The ring's obviously right at center ice and that co main event was Sid justice taking on the Undertaker and Randy Macho Man Savage taking on Jake the Snake Roberts. They had the an almost identical match on Saturday night's match Main event about a week later. But it was pretty cool being here in 1992. So my first two experiences here at the Aud were with wrestling.
